Knit a hat for everyone in the family with these free patterns: classic ribbed beanie, fold-over brim beanie, pom-pom hat, slouchy beanie. Each PDF has seven sizes, from a newborn baby to a large adult head, written the usual way with the smallest size first and the others in brackets.

Everything is worked out for worsted yarn at 18 stitches to 10 cm on 5 mm needles: the cast-on for each size, the brim depth, how long to knit before the crown and an 8-section crown that closes neatly. The size chart also lists the yarn for each size in metres and grams, so you know how many balls to buy.
